So if you find something wrong in my English translation, can you help me please? Forgive me, this was only my first attempt.

Dean Cortez answers:

Carl, a deputy general manager of a large company and newspaper editor Michelle were married for a decade and still love each other, (they’re seen) as a model of marital happiness. On Carl’s business day (On the day Carl left on a business trip), Michelle noticed Carl with a beautiful young woman and a child together. Carl tries to clear the incident (Carl tried to give an explanation), but Michelle refuses to believe him. Then separated, sick, the impulse to commit suicide and the terminally bad news, of the rationale for shock, loss and suffering experienced as purgatory. (Thereafter, the bad news of separation, sickness, the impulse to commit suicide and a terminal illness makes her go through the purgatory of shock, hopelessness and pain)
Seeing a happy marriage should be about to burst the bubble (Seeing how her marriage is about to be burst like a bubble), Michelle found that their marriage in crisis, with a beautiful young woman of Katherine’s secret marriage to another pile-related (Michelle found out that this crisis in her marriage is related to the secret marriage of Katherine, another beautiful young woman).
(It was only until) Katherine was admitted to a mental hospital (that) they know the (ill) consequences of their marriage, decide the fate of nothing more than character (it is not character that determines your fate). Finally, Michelle and Carl’s marriage will go from here … …
(In the end, how should the marriage of Michelle and Carl go on from here)

it’s a pretty good first attempt!! Give yourself a pat on the shoulder~

i’ve made the changes in brackets to make it more accurate compared to the original text :)

Thomas asks…

Do all men look at women even if they are married? Should I marry him if I think he could be shallow?

We have been together for 5 years now off and on, not “off” because of any major problems. We just went different directions over time but we always come back to one another. Its almost like we are inseparable and have some type of greater connection. But its harder now then before. Because for 3+ years we where living together, but now we are living in different countries. We lived in china together for 3 years and had a great friendship, love life, and it was amazing but he could not commit to marriage because he was not ready, and honestly nor was I but I wanted that security.
He is an American and I am a Chinese, his work has called him back to the USA for the last 2 years. He has had the opportunity to come back for 4 months (but we talk everyday these two years), and on his last visit here I started to push him to make a decision to marry me or leave me. He asked for some more time to think it over and after he got back to the USA he said he had made up his mind after just one week…. to marry me!
Now that I got what I wanted I am worried, I think he is a bit superficial and at times feels a bit shallow. He is a very go-get-em kind of guy and wants the finest things in life, but he is not materialistic, he is kind and has a big heart. He just looks at other women and finds them attractive, that bothers me. But because he is a very good looking I feel he wants the most beautiful and attractive women in the world for him, of course i am not that women. He likes everyone look up to him, and I am worried he fought his inside demon and made up his mind to spend the rest of his life with me fighting off the urge to be with a more attractive women. But it seems his being shallow, something I noticed a long time ago “that’s why when we’re together 2 years ago I wanted him to marry me so I can secure” is a concern to me now. I am wondering if i can live the rest of my life with a man that will look at other women and maybe have thoughts of sex with them. But he is not a cheater, and so I don’t think he would act, but I guess there is always a possibility, please help what do you think I should do? I know i love him and he loves me that is for sure!

Dean Cortez answers:

Hmm…it’s a tricky situation. I suggest you bring up your concerns with him. Close couples (especially couples that are about to be married) should be able to share these kinds of concerns. If he really cares about you, he would make you feel like you’re the #1 beauty in his eyes. You would know that he loves you and is committed to you without a doubt. And sure, all men and women may find others attractive, even after marriage. That’s just part of being human. But that attraction should only be in passing and never acted upon, because marriage is a promise to remain faithful and loyal to your partner, no matter what. Your future husband should never make you doubt your worthiness to him.

Let’s consider his point of view. What could have caused him to want everyone to look up to him? Maybe he feels insecure somewhere inside? People who constantly need approval and adoration from others are definitely insecure in some ways. That may be an issue he needs to work out on his own. Somehow his feeling of self-worth may be tied to how much other people adore him. This is just speculation, though, you know better than I do what he is like.

If you bring up your concerns with him and do it in a way that doesn’t make it sound like you’re attacking him or accusing him, then maybe you can get these feelings out in the open so that he’s fully aware of how you feel.

Another thing to look into is couples therapy or pre-marriage counseling. It can help you each to voice your concerns, lay out your goals and values and gain the advice of an objective third-party (the therapist). It’s something all couples should do before they get married, anyhow.

So to re-cap: my advice to you is to first bring up your concerns with him. If he doesn’t take well to this, then definitely look into couples therapy (or pre-marriage counseling, it’s the same thing). If you’re both committed to making this relationship work and to seeing if you can work out your differences and the problem spots, then it’s well-worth it. If he doesn’t take your concerns seriously and if he doesn’t agree to come to therapy with you, it may be time to reconsider your relationship with him.

thanks! 20 points in the first! (10 points for this question plus another 10 for 1 other question on which there still will choose the best answer) nice Christmas gift eh? beautiful 20 points in only 1 hit!

The story is about a working class native of Hawaii, Keawe, who buys a strange bottle from a sad, elderly gentleman who credits the bottle with his wealth and fortune, and promises the imp in the bottle will also grant Keawe his every wish and desire.

Of course, there is a catch — the bottle must be sold at a loss, i.e. for less than its owner originally paid, or else it will simply return to him. The currency used in the transaction must also be in coin (not paper currency or check). The bottle may not be thrown or given away. If an owner of the bottle dies without having sold it in the prescribed manner, that person’s soul will burn for eternity in Hell.

The bottle was said to have been brought to Earth by the Devil and first purchased by Prester John for millions of dollars; it was owned by Napoleon and Captain James Cook but each sold it. At the time of the story the price has diminished to eighty dollars, and declines rapidly to a matter of pennies.

Keawe buys the bottle and instantly wishes his money to be refunded, to convince himself he hadn’t been suckered. When his pockets fill with coins, he realizes the bottle does indeed have unholy power. He finds he cannot abandon it or sell it for a profit, so he wishes for his heart’s desire: a big, fancy mansion. He then sells the bottle to a friend (after explaining the risks) and returns to Hawaii.

Upon his return, Keawe’s wish has been granted, but at a price: his beloved uncle and cousins have been killed in a boating accident, leaving Keawe sole heir to his uncle’s fortune. Keawe is horrified, but uses the money to build his house.

Keawe lives a happy life, but there is something missing. Walking along the beach one night, he meets a beautiful woman. They soon fall in love and become engaged. Keawe’s happiness is shattered on the night of his betrothal, when he discovers that he has contracted “the Chinese Evil” (leprosy) in his travels. He must give up his house and wife, and live in the caves with the other lepers. Unless…

Keawe tries to track down the friend to whom he sold the bottle, but the friend has become suddenly wealthy and left Hawaii. Keawe eventually finds the bottle, but the owner has bad news: he only paid two cents for it. If Keawe buys it for one, he won’t be able to resell it.

Keawe decides to buy the bottle, and wishes himself clean. But now he is despondent: how can he possibly enjoy life, knowing his doom? His wife mistakes his depression for regret at their marriage, and asks for a divorce. Keawe confesses to her his secret.

His wife suggests they sail to Tahiti, where the colonists of French Polynesia use centimes, a coin worth one-fifth of an American cent. When they arrive, however, the suspicious natives won’t touch the cursed bottle. Keawe’s wife decides to bribe an old sailor to buy the bottle for four centimes, and she will secretly buy it back for three. But now she carries the curse.

Keawe discovers what his wife has done, so he asks a brutish boatswain to buy the bottle for two centimes, and he will buy it back for one, thus sealing his doom. However, when Keawe goes to retrieve the bottle, the sailor threatens to bash in his head. There’s no way he’s giving up the magic wishing bottle.

Keawe warns the sailor that he’ll go to hell if he keeps the bottle, but the sailor never expected to go anywhere else. Keawe returns to his wife, finally free from the curse.

My action (tell your wife the truth) is terrible in Western countries? Did I destroy his family?

Now I feel very sad, stress and blamed myseft when that man blamed on me and seems I did something wrong. In fact I just want him to come back to his family and they will Happy together if his wife can forgive him.

Never a single day stop crying for his cheating action.

I met a French man who lives in Rochester NY, in a dating website. He told me that he separated with his wife 5 years and had an unhappy marriage and already sent divorce dox to the court just waited divorce finalizing. From US he sent me a lot of love card, gifts. He called me chat with me everyday and always told me that he missed me and love me so much. He saw me twice in my country and we was very happy together. He said to me he never met so beautifull, nice and well educated woman like me. He seems very nice man I never thought that he cheated on me. I love him so much with all my heart. He sweared with me he loves me so much and will marry me. I feel be cheated and then I searched in internet I found his wife in Facebook. I decided to ask his wife if he separated 5 years and divorce sent to the court as he said. His wife was very shock and upset about her husband. She told me to send her all the proof of her husband affair. I think his wife should know what kind of husband she live with, when her husband cheated on her so I decided to tell her all the truth and sent her all the proofs I have. I also told her before me her husband already loved a Chinese girl when he worked in China. When he left China that girl cried a lot. I knew this story because my boyfriend told me this story himseft. After talking with his wife I knew that they never been separated and he cheated on me. I feel so sorry his wife because I did not know my boyfriend cheated on me about his marriage status at the beginning. I feel hurt and broken heart, because I give my heart for a wrong man. He lied and cheated both his wife and me. I can understand his wife must in pain and hurt so much about his cheating action. That man called me blamed me why told the truth to his wife and why I sent to her the proof and why I destroyed his family? He said I am Vietnamese and do not understand Western thinking. He said to me my action (tell the wife truth) is terrible action in Western countries. I said to him, “I will not lower myseft to love a married man and stole happiness of other woman, I just do the things I should do and give a peace to my soul. ” I am so sad but I know I should leave him. He loves NOBODY, he is seftfish and loves only himseft. I just could not understand why he has a nice wife, 3 lovely children and does not respect his family, chose the way to cheat a little woman from other side of the world.? Did I destroy his family? Why an old man can cheated on me like this? I feel very sad and can not understand why that man blamed on me. My action (tell his wife the truth) is terrible in Western countries? Can I believe there is still honest man in this world? I never met great liar and cheater like him in my life. All the men in internet are cheater?
One more thing I could not understand is why his wife still believe cheater when she told me: He is very sorry her and He met a women so nice, beautiful and wonderfull (me) so he can not control his heart and his wife told me that because he loves me so much so cheated on me, and she asked me forgive him too.
Please kindly let me know. Thanks for your answer in advance
Sorry I need more answers because I am very sad and difficult time of broken heart. Thanks.

Dean Cortez answers:

First of all, I am very sorry for what has happened to you.

You did NOT destroy his marriage and family. YOU had no idea of his marital status. HE destroyed his marriage and family. He has probably had many affairs over the years.

Telling the wife the truth is NOT “terrible in Western countries”. That was another lie he told you.

As far as his wife goes, she may forgive him, depending on her emotional and financial dependence on him, how long they’ve been together, etc. Whether she forgives him or not, you still did the right thing.

Not all men are cheaters and liars. I’m sorry that you got hooked up with one. Move on with your life, and know you did the right thing by telling her the truth, and leaving him. Good luck to you.

Richard asks…

Is it wrong for a guy to tell a girl how he really feels even though she is taken?

This again is related to my past two questions on Yahoo! Answers. I fell for my next door neighbor who is a beautiful 25 year old Malaysian woman. And I am a 20 year old Chinese man who so happens to co-own the house she is living in with three other roommates. I’ve had several one on one conversations with her and they were what brought me closer to her spiritually. We’ve had good times talking to each other. But ever since she told me she was married but was having some problems with her husband, everything changed. She don’t see each other no more despite the fact she lives a couple feet away from me. Things got different after she told me about the marriage and her awkwardness towards my age. But to me, age is just a number and there lies no significant values behind it. If she is worried about me not being able to offer her security, then she has got it wrong. I can protect her on all levels. So my problem is, I can’t stop thinking about her still. Should I tell her how I feel?
So do you guys think it is best for me to cut off all connections with her like for instance, no longer speak or see her? Even though we haven’t seen each other for more than a month now.
If there is anyone who is left in confusion on what type of “problems” are occuring between her husband and her then I can’t really tell you. I have no idea on how large the magnitude of the problem is. She once told me she was trying to get out of a relationship or marriage then a week after she told me she was trying to work things out with her husband. So either she is deceiving me making my head twist and turn like a office chair or she is in a confused state.
She is living alone and not with her husband obviously. If she was living with her husband she wouldn’t be living next door to my house with three other strangers now would she?

Dean Cortez answers:

I bet she already knows how you feel and is having difficulty dealing with it, hence staying away from you. There are other women, even other beautiful 25 year old Malaysian women. Age isn’t the issue but, for whatever reason, despite their problems, she hasn’t left her husband. I’d say leave it alone… She might share the details of your conversation with her husband when they are getting along, but leave out the bits where she encouraged you. If you feel you must tell her how you feel, be brief and ask for an answer right away and then accept it if it’s ‘no.’ She might be attracted to you but unwilling to leave an established relationship. Keep looking and you’ll find a spiritual connection elsewhere… I just know it. Best of luck,

Donald asks…

Being in foster/adoptive care, what’s so immature/childish about wanting to know who your real father is?

I’m just SO hurt. SOOOO hurt!

OK. I have to try to make a long story short. My biological mom abused & neglected us @ birth, so we got taken away by the time we were 5 mos. Been with same FOSTER family since then until age 20. Foster family no less abusive.

We’re African American also mixed with Louisiana Creoles (IF & ONLY if the man named on my birth certificate is my biological father). But anyway, My bio mom had 9 kids, & only supposedly 3 or 5 of us are his.

12 yrs. ago, I was in 8th grade, & 1 of my 5 brothers told me that me & my twin sister don’t have the same dad as him because we’re not light-skinned. Our complexion is brown. The man named on our birth certificate is the same man that our mom has been married to for many yrs. This brother & other siblings described our so-called REAL father to be grotesque-looking & in a wheelchair with BIG eyes, brown skin, & crusty-nappy hair (they said that). Me & my twin sister have a smooth brown complexion with silky, thick, wavy hair. We have high cheekbones & people mistake us for being mixed with Asian. We have slanted eyes, just like my mom’s husband (man on birth certificate). He’s French & Native American Indian with straight, silky hair, an olive complexion like a Chinese person, & when he fought in the Vietnam war, they mistook him for the Vietnamese people. He was 32, & my mom was 15 when they got together. She was like 35, & he was 52 when they had us. Our mom is brown-skinned with crusty nappy hair & big, bubbly eyes that look like they’re about to pop out of the socket. But she has hazel/light brown, BEAUTIFUL eyes. We have dark brown eyes. I can’t tell my supposed dad’s eye color because he’s so old that you can’t tell, but they’re sort of bluish. He’s 77 now.

Many people say that if you don’t have a father (whether he’s deceased or you don’t know who he is), then that makes you a bastard. I don’t want to feel like a bastard. My mom is schizophrenic, & 1/2 of us 9 kids follow her delusions like it’s a religion or something. I’m 1 of them who doesn’t.

My mom’s husband (man on our birth certificate) has daughters for another woman, before our mom, & they’re brown-skinned.

The family makes up too many rumors, & I’m tired of it. There’s a rumor that us brown & dark-skinned kids are color-struck & jealous of the light-skinned kids, which is NOT the case.

With me, I don’t care about the skin color. I just need to know who my father REALLY is. We DO look 1/2-way like the man on our birth certificate. Why can’t we be his children & take after our mom’s complexion, like our other 1/2 sister from previous marriage did?

I’m confused about who my real father is, & I’m frustrated, angry, & sad.

Bad enough, we had a hard childhood in the foster home, being abused & tortured, & the foster mom adopted her cousin’s daughter. So, that daughter ran around school, telling everyone that we don’t know who our real parents are. Me & my twin sister got tired of that being thrown in our faces. Kids saying, “@ least I know who my REAL mama is!”

& the foster mom kept throwing in my face, “I should’ve left you nasty, filthy, dirty babies where I found y’all. Y’all were so nasty & dirty that the SOCIAL WORKERS were afraid to touch y’all!”

I didn’t get to see my real mom until I turned 18, & the social worker & foster mom got angry & tried to say we “ran away”. How, & I was a legal adult, attending college?

If the man named on our birth certificate is NOT my real father, then why am I getting Social Security Survivor’s benefits & medicare off of him? Wouldn’t that be illegal if I’m not his real child?

I don’t want to appear to be doing anything illegal. We were told all throughout foster care (same family for about 20 yrs.) that “both” parents on birth certificate are our real parents.

Now, so many mixed up stories. I wish I could get a DNA test, but the WHOLE family would start tripping. I’m tired of them falsely accusing me of being color-struck, when I’m truly NOT. If the man on our birth certificate is really our dad, then I have no control over him being light-skinned. My mom chose him. Not us.

Me & 1 of my brothers just had a discussion about the “daddy” subject. THEY always tease me & rub it in my face about the man not being me & my twin sister’s daddy.

Also, my birth mom is SO delusional that she’s trying to make it like everything typed on our birth certificate is WRONG. How could federal documents make the same mistake twice?

I was born Aug. 25, 1983 @ 10:23 PM, & my twin sister was born 13 min. later. The certificate says we’re identical, & so did foster family & social workers. Birth mom wants to say we’re fraternal, & that our b-day is on the 24th, & not the 25th. She’s saying that to try to be funny because it was our 18th b-day. Aug. 25, 2001 when my fav. singer Aaliyah died in a plane crash.

& they just don’t want our b-day to be associated with her death. We can’t help if the singer died ON our
She’s saying that to try to be funny because it was our 18th b-day. Aug. 25, 2001 when my fav. singer Aaliyah died in a plane crash.

& they just don’t want our b-day to be associated with her death. We can’t help if the singer died ON our b-day.

As I said, my mom is delusional. She’s 60 yrs. old & starts rumors about her own kids, just to get us to hate each other. She wants to get the light-skinned kids to have war with the darker-skinned kids, like me. Now, I’m 25 with a college degree. These rumors hurt me, & I feel like it’s unfair that people are calling me immature for wanting to know the true facts of my life.

I haven’t seen my birth mom UNTIL age 18. Not even any photos! Foster & birth mom have been beefing with (hating) each other for yrs. So, the foster mom said our bio mom’s rights were taken away from us when we were 2 yrs. old. I don’t remember that, @ 2 yrs. old. So, quite naturally, if you’re a foster/adopted child, & basically never or don’t remember seeing your real
So, quite naturally, if you’re a foster/adopted child, & basically never or don’t remember seeing your real family, wouldn’t it be normal to have LOTS of questions to ask & be very curious?

I’m very sad right now, & I feel like crying. My details were longer than I anticipated. Sorry about that, but please help me. Give me some advice & REASSURE me that there’s nothing wrong with me wanting to know who my real father is.

Dean Cortez answers:

Sorry for all you have been through.

If you have any money, maybe you could find a way to get your (presumed) father’s hair strands and do a DNA test. Some aren’t all that expensive. Why did this man sign your BC and not claim you as his children? Or, better yet, why/does he not stand up for you when the others say these mean remarks? I think I would try to get a hair sample from his brush and do a DNA test ASAP. Here are some other types of things you can use for DNA and how much each costs for testing: http://www.homedna-test.com/samples.htm
