What are the rules of Korean smoking etiquette?
I’m a non-smoking white American male and I recently started dating this beautiful Korean girl. She is a wonderful person, extremely intelligent and very beautiful. She is a smoker, and there have been some awkward moments involving her smoking where I am not sure what to do, and she starts looking at me funny. I think maybe she expects me to light her cigarettes for her, and to not bug her about second hand smoke or quitting. Should I light her cigarettes? She’s not a chain-smoker.
What are the rules of Korean smoking etiquette, especially when it comes to female Korean smokers and their partners? Koreans seem to have very complex social customs and etiquette rules, so I don’t want to insult her or lose her by doing something stupid. Korean women are so difficult to impress and I am doing my best to impress her. Any tips?

Korean smoking etiquette is that men can smoke anywhere and everywhere and women can not smoke. Women are not supposed to smoke in Korea. They are looked at as whores if they smoke here in Korea (no offense thats just what the Koreans think). The only time I see Korean women smoking are in western bars here in Korea. They would NEVER do it elsewhere in public.
What I am saying is that she’s probably embarassed to be smoking because if she was raised in Korea it is not socially acceptable for women to smoke. You are not expected to light her cigarette. She is probably just scared you will judge her for smoking or think less of her.

Do Asian men and Black women get it the worst when they date interracial?
I notice that whenever a Black woman gets with a non-Black guy, especially if he is White, she faces so much hostility from other Black men. Most will even comment on it and give the White guy dating her a tough time or the guy dating her a tough time, a lot will even call out the Black girl if she is dating interracial.
Well on the other hand we have Asian men, already there are so many negatives piled against them, undersized, feminine and not being able to please their women. ON top of that you have so many Asian girls who are extremely White washed to the point that they are anti-Asian and can’t stand an Asian guy dating anyone, especially a girl outside his own race. My Korean friend is dating this beautiful Blonde German girl and so many White washed Asian girls give the two a hard time, as for White guys? Oh you better believe those jealous demons have a load to say about that.
Overall, do you believe that Asian men and Black women get it the worst from society when they date interracial?

Yes they get a double standard placed upon them. Why they take that bullshit is beyond me but yes I agree they do. Nothing pisses me off more when I see a Black man who is dating a White woman then complain about a Black woman who is doing the same. Hypocrite 101. To be honest I did suspect that Asian women played up the same bullshit meaning they can date all the White men they want but their Asian brothers sure better not. And I believe both groups would be highly pissed if Asian men started dating Black women. I think they would split in half from stomping the ground hard like Rumplestiltskin. So yeah I agree with you 100% it is happening and it is bullshit. And I also say there is a huge double standard. But I have to also say it continues because Black women and Asian men do not speak out against it.
One the positive side I think in the near future there are gonna be a mega huge boom in Asian men Black women Relationships. When both groups get done so wrong by their respective mates for example being put down by the men and women of their own race it is only logic that two abused groups will find love in each other. And that is abuse to put down the opposite sex of your OWN RACE! I got one word for people who put down their entire race to get Whites, Blacks, or anyone else, I call them SELL OUTS. Sell out does not mean someone who dates a secific race that is not their own it means you have to put down the men or women of your race to do it.
Stupid comments like I would never date a Black women or I would never date and Asian man they look like girls? What the F? You are Black, you are Asian. Well on the outside you might be maybe on the inside you are White who knows.

Why are there so few South Asian women with white men?
There are many, many, very beautiful South Asian women here in Toronto. But they nerarly all date/marry Indian men. Which is interesting because Chinese women (Korean women less for some reason) hate Chinese men. Anyone have any answers besides the obvious fact of more conservative social mores among South Asians. Any SA women who could help out here would be much appreciated.

Why are some people still against interracial dating?
I can’t speak for all African-American men, but I’ll speak for myself. I’ve been asked this question a lot, but only by African-American women. I’ve dated women from many different ethnic backgrounds- Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese,Cambodian, Indian, Sri Lankan,Afgani, Australian, Greek, Italian, Irish, Ukrainian, Russian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Brazilian,Portuguese, Apache, Navajo, and of course, African American.
That being said, I find that women of different cultural backgrounds have many beautiful things about them to offer. Every woman is different, and every culture is distinct. That’s what makes life and love so exciting. If you love people then you must love what makes people distinct. Every woman has something wonderful to offer. Every culture has a distinct beauty to it. I’ve found that when I took my “racial blinders” off, and was willing to see that beauty, not only did it give me more dating opportunities (who DOESN’T want that???) but it also OPENED UP THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD TO ME. I find all women gorgeous, and I’ll never go back to being closed to that beauty.
The question that many African-American women have asked is “why do you date (white, asian, latino, etc.) women?”

I don’t know why either. I am in an interracial marriage, and am very happy with it. Sure, there are people who do not agree with our relationship, but we don’t care. “They don’t pay our bills.”
It astounds me at times how people will go out of their way to rationalize their prejudices. They say, “Interracial relationships are wrong because society will be very hard on an interracial couple.” Society is hard on everybody. If it’s not about your race, it will be about something else. Life is not fair, and fair is not equal. But life is beautiful, and I agree with you– all people are beautiful.

i wanted to ask why i see alot of asian like filipino,cambodia,thias,japanese,korean,vietniese etc… most of them all date diffrent ethinic groups such as white,black,latino etc but i have notice alot of chinese only date within there race or white and thats it can anybody exsplain why?

Chinese parents, especially recent immigrants or 1st generation to America, generally disapprove of their children dating outside their race. To be blunt, I believe the Chinese are feel this way for two reason: 1) racism and 2) xenophobia.
Racism – Chinese tend to think most/all races are inferior to them with the exception of SOME white races. Blacks and latinos are usually thought of as inferior. A conclusion arrived at by using statistics of economical success as a guage.
Xenophobia – The Chinese tend to fear foreign people and concepts. Non-Chinese are foreign people. Interracial dating is a foreign concept. A double whammy.
(Please note I am a Chinese girl with parents who disapprove of my dating outside my race. I am not being racist here, just stating facts from my experience.)

I am always different. I’m not into the whole ” Ti*s and A*s” thing. I respect a womans beauty and their looks, Asian women to be precise. I live in America, and i have never found 1 woman i liked or was attracted too. But i am mesmerized by Asian women, they are nice and beautiful. I hardley ever find any, and i want to go to south Korea one day ( I can speak good Korean). I am white, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Would an Asian woman date a guy like me? I feel so depressed knowing i might never find true love. Please help.
