Mature Bridal Gowns

Steven asks…
Flower Girl vs. Flower Girl Dress… What would you do?
My 6 ( will be 7 by the wedding ) year old niece picked out a dress that I really dislike. I feel the dress is inappropriate as it looks too mature for her and it also looks like a mini-bride dress. I don’t think that the flower girl dress should match the bridal gown, but I do think if you are going to go with this style of flower girl dress then it should match the bridal gown. This flower girl dress looks NOTHING like my gown. I really dislike this dress, but I feel bad not allowing her to wear what she wants.
What would you do?
Here is a picture of the dress

I am paying for the dress… and I’m not worried about her up staging me… I just really dislike the dress.. no need to be rude.
I want her to wear an ivory dress.. just not that dress. I don’t like the style and I have already listed my reasons.

Dean Cortez answers:
If i was you and i didn’t like the dress that much i would go down their by your self and pick out a few styles that you really like. Then take her down their with you and let her try the ones on you choose. After all it your big day. Hope this helps and good luck. Congrats
Ps don’t stress all the little things, have fun.

Robert asks…

Most girls wear long gowns to prom at my school, but we are also allowed to wear short ones. I’m really into sequin covered dresses, rather than the princess poof look that most everyone wears. I want to have a dress that’s a little bit unique. These are last year styles from a bridal shop, and I’d like to buy before the prom shop in the area opens, to avoid wearing the same thing as someone else. I like the pink one because it is bold and somewhat poofy and reminds me of a princess/ballerina. The purple one seems youthful and fun… but I think the gown seems more mature and elegant. I want to have my hair curly and down. Any input is very appreciated. (These pictures do not do these dresses any justice!) They’re very sparkly in person) *(Also I plan on slimming down and toning my arms, so these will hang better)

Dean Cortez answers:
Well, for a prom, i’d say the glittery pink one!!! And after you’re done with it give it to me because it is so beautiful. Yes, i’d say slimming down is a good idea not because you are overweight or anything (definitely not!) but yes it would look better indeed. The black shows too much of a body shape which i would not agree on calling “the hourglass” sorry! And the blue looks like a costume for a High School Musical dance number. The pink one is definitely the most… Prommy. It is indeed unique and super cute, and the colour looks good with your long hair, body shape, and skin colour.
