thanx a lot karazyal, I’ll be travel to Bangkok after Phuket, i’ll stay 4 days in Phuket and 1 week in Bangkok b4 heading back to KL. i’ve been 3 times to Bangkok….miss this city so much, anywhere also want to try Phuket…..

Not everyone does the same things in Thailand, some tourists want beaches only, some want to visit historic landmarks and some want to party all the time. (Or a little of each.) Lots of people travel alone, no big deal. Phuket is very popular with women who travel alone, probably next to Chiang Mai.

Even though prices for some hotels start to increase because of “high season” you can still find some good prices for rooms. The highest prices for rooms will be in December/January near Christmas and around New Years Eve. For specific hotel recommendations mention how much you want to spend per night for a hotel room.
Other travel forums you can look through for inspiration or specific advice are below. There are other beaches closer to Bangkok than Phuket. All of Thailand is warm, you do not have to be at a beach to get a sun tan.
Don’t waste all of your time at a beach, see some other places in Thailand. When you arrive in Bangkok take a few days in the beginning to see the city and get used to the heat and time changes. Plan on spending your last night in Bangkok too for last minute souvenir shopping.
There are two airports that serve Bangkok. Don Muang (DMK) also has local flights. These airports are on opposite sides of the city – so if you intend to blow off Bangkok know where your next connection is flying out of. Jungceylon (Patong Beach) is a monster of a shopping centre. It contains just about everything that shoppers could conceivably need and is a must-do if you’re a bargain hunter. Situated on Rat-U-Thit Rd. Diagonally opposite the eastern end of Soi Bangla, you simply can’t miss it. The two main stores in the complex are Robinson and Carrefour. The almost 200 other stores in this new shopping heaven sell brand name clothes, spectacles, sunglasses, colognes and perfumes, shoes, DVD-CD-VCD’s, computer games, electrical goods, pewter, gold and silver, sportswear and goods amongst myriad other items.

Is it possible to go snuba diving in phuket outside tour package?
I’m planning to go snuba diving in phuket. But most snuba tours packages’ quotation are beyond what I’m budgeting for. So I was wondering whether u can go snuba diving in phuket without having to go on tour. Do they offer snuba diving separately in beaches throughout phuket just like other water sports? Thanks.

It is possible, but you have to pay quite a sum, they will have counter for sea sport at the hotel, ask them, the price depend on the season, Good luck

What is the estimate cost for activities in Phuket?
I am planning a trip to phuket with some friends. I have a estimate of how much accomodation and travel will cost but don’t know how much activities will cost. I have tried some websites but most sites have a list of activities to do but don’t have how much they cost. I will be there for 4 days 3 nights and need to do some planning and budgetting.
