Questions About Chinese Women Better Mothers

What story is about the changing of the Chinese generations, mother and Daughter?

I took a Terra Nova for this school, and in one section was a story about this lady and her family. How her mom and Pa moved to the states to get away from the Vietnam War. Well, the girl wrote a book about four old Chinese women, who had daughters. These four women survived the Vietnam War and had a little club, and their daughters found them kinda foolish(since the daughters were in a new generation). Well one of the women die and her daughter takes her place, finding out that is wasn’t really foolish, and that the group of women recieve a letter from her sisters(who she didn’t know about) in back in Vietnam.

How come theres no more good women like Mamma?

My mother is a Saint. My Grandmothers are Saints. How come I can’t find no woman here that could continue the line of good women in my family.

They were nice girls, waited for marriage. They tell their granddaughters sleeping round is a sin- they didn’t do it.

And they can cook old world style. My mother makes the best pasta, period! It seems all the women I meet live on take out chinese or McDonalds or more of that unhealthy stuff.

And the women in my family, they demand respect and gets it. I have not met any woman that demands it, quite on the contrary. They seem to do whatever they can to tarnish their reputations.

i have been married to a white women / now im married to a chinese woman now and she is miles better.

my white wife just watched soaps operas or talk about about celebs.and expected me to work, then id come home nothing was dont in the house she had either been out shopping on my credit card or said she was looking after the one child which was always dumped on my mother or hers. while she watched tv. then when i pulled her about it she d blame me for not being there. ive heard shes gone fat and doesnt leave the house now, you white women need to get it together becoz oriental women are beginning to take u ova.

now my oriental wife when i come home dinner is cooked and the house is clean children dont hav to be picked up from my mothers anymore, she is so polite and wants to talk about things that matter like science or the world news insted of celebs or soaps and she doesnt spend wat we havnt got.

oh and my wife was born in the same country as me and its not about a visa green card etc be4 u start that, also they both hav grown up with the same culture so it has to hav something to do with race.

What’s a good (lucky) gift for a pregnant Chinese (Taiwanese) woman?

My sister-in-law is from Taiwan, but lives in America. She recently became pregnant, and I know her well enough to be sure that she would appreciate a traditional Chinese acknowledgment of some kind. While I can find lots of Chinese traditions about baby gifts for children, I can’t find anything about the mother except how she should behave during the pregnancy. What, if anything, would be a good gift for her before the baby is born?

im serious. most Indians and Chinese people look down upon blacks. in usa, most of them dont like black women and thing of them as not attractive, and this is america.

in their mother countrys they laugh at black people.
if a black lady walks down a chinese road, no one will even look at her, and will give her mean looks. same in India

if a white lady walks in a chinese or Indian road, they will all stare with LUST in their eyes.

East asian guys and fat white women?

This question is mostly for the guys.
I’m a overweight English woman (BMI 26) and my boyfriend of four years is Chinese. We are joined at the hip and he seemingly adores me, and has let himself come to harm to protect me several times. From what?

His mother’s verbal attacks against me. She disaproves of me completely beacause I’ve never reached her goal of beauty: Petite and thin. I tower 10 cm over my guy, so it’s been hard to get the “petite” part right. I don’t wear heels anymore because of that.
I’ve lost and gained weight dramatically, like a yoyo, hopping from depression to depression, specially when I was studying abroad.
I also got my dad’s “viking frame”, so I’m tall and I have huge shoulders and hips and a curvy (but still squishy) waist.

I started paying attention to what asian guys say over the internet. Yes, they generally prize white women, but ONLY if they’re beautiful and thin. I am neither of these things. I’m a good woman, quiet and caring and dutiful, but that doesn’t seem to fly with his mom. Or, in fact, with any other asian guys.

My point is, I am very confused. Am I doing him a disfavour by going against his culture’s beauty standards? Does he diserve better, even if very beautiful women are not so much “family-oriented” as I am?
In Asian relationships, are looks that more important than companionship? From what I gathered they like women they can show to friends, not women who can bake a great shephard’s pie and write books for fun.
