I am making a study on women self-confidence around the world.
What/ Who would be symbols of Japanese self-confidence (it can be actresses, TV moderators, Models, intellectuals, artists…)
1) from the past (history)
2) from today (mainstream)
3) the younger generation

Are there also japanese poems, stories, films or even lifestyle phenomenon that talk about it ? (I am thinking of TV series like Shomuni, does there exist something more recent ? Are there other figures than those we know in the West apart from strong feminine manga figures or women wrestling ? Maybe something more subtle ?…)
I heard that the advertising for TSUBAKI was a symbol of a new Japanese Women Pride in Japan… are there other ones ?
