Tiara

David asks…

How can I do my hair for prom with a tiara?

I am on the prom court for my Junior prom, and I have to wear a tiara. It’s not a clip or anything, it’s a full tiara. I was wondering if someone could help me with hairstyles that won’t get messed up if I choose to take the tiara out. It’s a little painful if I have to wear it the entire night. I have long dark brown hair and a middle part, no bangs. Thanks!

How to make a Tiara with a Drop for a dance costume?

I am looking for any how-to insturctions on how to make a tiara that actually sits on the forehead with a crystal or something dropping down for a coastume for my dance class students. I am very familiar with jewlery making and beading, but this is a little more advanced. . .
Jody K – I don’t live near Ontario. I’m in MN. But, I think I got some ideas. Thanks!

I don’t know anything about beadwork, but here are a couple sites that might be of use:

Linda asks…

What kind of tiara would suit my heart shaped face?

I’m shopping for tiaras for my wedding. I know I want gold with pearls to accent my ivory gown, but I’m not sure what shape is best for my face. I have what is called a “heart-shaped” face, meaning my cheeks are the widest point, with a narrow chin, and soft curves. Does anyone have a similar face shape that has worn a tiara? What shape did you wear? Or does anyone have any suggestions?

Dean Cortez answers:

You want something that geometrically compliments your face shape. Wear a small tiara (like aurora in sleeping beauty :) ) because a large one would draw attention to the top of your head and make it look like a balloon (same reason why you should not wear pants with designs on the back if you have a large backside). A tiara that points up would be nice.

Chris asks…

What do think of a person that wears a tiara every wear she goes?

I can’t lie it’s me. I enjoy wearing the tiara that my husband surprised me with by sending it to our home by special delivery. I love tiaras and collect them and wear mine everywhere. I don’t feel that you have to have some special occasion to wear them because I think that they are beautiful.
