I’m 16 years old, i’m asian, actually, Vietnamese. I like a girl in my history class, her name is Kayla, She is cute, funny. But the problem is she is half African-American, she is not even a little bit of Asian but i like her a lot. I haven’t talk to her yet, well sometimes i just look and her and she smiled at me. I’m not even know her last name. So that means i’m not even close to her but i like her. What should i do now, should i talk to her, should i tell her that i like her? Will she reject me because I’m Aisan? Will do you guys think that an Asian boy can get a girl who is completely different race? I love to hear some honest answer !

What is the meaning and proper pronunciation of “Xuyen” ?

I have seen a girl‘s name, Xuyen, translated as “river” or “bracelet”. (There is also a verb– to go through /cross/ pierce; I assume that this has a different pronunciation.) Is there another understanding for the name?
If you are a fluent speaker of the language, please explain the correct pronunciation of the girl‘s name.
